Shot this one in Norway. Locals said it is this beautiful only once every 30 years.

The fact that this event happens once in 30 years makes it special without even looking at the technique applied.

Waterfalls have always fascinated me, they seem so peaceful yet they are so powerful, i think the photographer captured that very well.

Although i wonder how the shot would have looked in color, that might have been a bit better on this occasion. But i have to say i love the contrast between the water and the rocks, it makes for a very strong composition

As i know the colored version as well, if it would have been a bit brighter it would have been easier to sea the beautiful tree lines on top, they have faded away in the darkness.

But overall, a well executed shot.

Dankjewel! Het is inderdaad een heel erg mooie plek, maar meestal komt het water hooguit een beetje sijpelend naar beneden. Toen ik er was had Noorwegen echter zo'n slechte zomer met zoveel regenval, dat de lokale waterkrachtcentrale het niet meer aan kon en ze de oude stroom ook weer open gooiden waardoor de waterval weer echt in actie kwam :)
Het hele dorp (Rjukan) en omstreken liep uit om de waterval te bekijken en volgens mij stond het zelfs in de nationale krant!

haha ok jammer dat het zo uniek is dan en niet vaker gebeurt... dan heb je nog echt iets historisch vastgelegd ook :P

Haha inderdaad! Maar noorwegen is verder wel echt een plek waar je (als fotograaf) naartoe moet, de natuur is echt prachtig daar!
