Something New -postcard edit- by swrut Something New -postcard edit- by swrut
I've been editing this [link] photo to try and make it a postcard somewhere. What do you think about the background i've created and about the editing overall?

Cheers!

hm. :?
ya, the previuos was better. this light blue (turquise) doesn't fit for me. maybe you try with sth darker... or with simple white? for me it can look good, becouse the child will be ee... more visible?

Okay thanks! I think the previous one is better too, but i just don't think it will work as a postcard like that, so i have to get a more simple background. Thanks for the color-advice though, i'm not such a genius with those things. Since i think it would be a "grats with your new boy!"-card i chose a baby-blue-ish kind of color. But indeed it's a bit lighter than it should be.

I like the original picture better.. and I don't like the light blue background. It just doesn't fit. O.o

Hmmm okay! Keep in mind that it's for a postcard so the original background just won't work. Which color do you recommend?

I think maybe a darker blue all together.. or you could change the gradient so the bottom color isn't as light.. maybe thats whats throwing it off. :)

Stijn , I prefer the original pic. I'm not sure about the background colour.

Hmm i think i prefer that too, but i just don't think any postcardcompany would take it (or they'll edit it themself)

I've tried to make it some kind of baby-blue, what color would you prefer?

I would try a slightly darker blue cos what you used was more of a tourquoise. It reminded me of a very old postcard like the ones produced in the 50s or 60s. It looks kind of artificial. try a softer darker blue maybe apply a little bit of glow maybe the end result would be better. :)

Hmm that's some good advice! (like the roles are turned around hehe) Thanks! I'm not such a graphic designer so i find it hard to pick the right color and style :)

Leuke foto, achtergrond kleur past goed bij de foto zelf.
